Aggregate data from 2,778 virtual career fairs run on EasyVirtualFair across four sectors and 25+ countries. The largest public reference dataset in the industry — no client names, only anonymised aggregates.
Organisers keep asking us the same questions before launching a fair: how many booths should we contract, how many registrants can we expect, what ratios are healthy? This page answers with real numbers from six years of continuous operations, presented as anonymised aggregates so anyone planning a virtual career fair — recruiters, government workforce teams, university career services, tradeshow organisers — can size their event against a credible baseline.
Aggregate counters across all fairs run on the platform:
Share of fairs by region. About one quarter of records did not have a region tag in the operational system; we keep the Unspecified region slice visible for transparency instead of re-normalising the base.
For each sector we report the median and 90th percentile (p90) of two key metrics: booths per fair and registrants per fair. We use the median instead of the mean so that outliers don’t distort the picture; the p90 tells you the realistic ceiling for that segment.

Public-sector fairs are the most frequent segment and typically mid-sized (35 booths). Top events (p90) reach 1,500+ registrants when state or municipal communication push behind them.
Career services, alumni fairs, open days, multi-faculty events.
The university segment runs the fairs with the highest booth counts. Career services aggregate more employer partners per event than any other sector.
Employer branding fairs, dedicated hiring events, graduate recruitment.
Corporate hiring events are smaller in booth count (25 booths) but produce the strongest candidates-per-booth ratio — every booth typically receives 15+ registrants on average.

Smallest sample of the report and treated as directional. When these fairs perform, they scale hard — the p90 exceeds 9,000 registrants.
For methodological rigour we exclude metrics that we do not track consistently across the full sample:
The share of registrants who actually enter the fair. Only available for a recent subsample; will be published once the sample is statistically robust.
Time spent inside the event. Platform-level metric, not part of operational reporting.
Depends on each client’s ATS and downstream funnel — outside our platform.
Varies with pricing tier and sector; not a comparable industry benchmark.
Any event run on EasyVirtualFair with an identified organiser and at least one contracted exhibitor booth. Both single-day and multi-day formats are included, as well as on-demand fairs where booths remain open beyond the live day.
Because a single very large fair can move the average dramatically. The median describes the typical fair; the p90 shows the top of the range for planning realistic ceilings.

No. These are 100% virtual career fairs. Hybrid or physical events fall outside this dataset.
The sample spans four organiser sectors, 25+ countries and both peak-demand and normalised years. It is not a random sample of the whole industry — it reflects the fairs run on this specific platform.
