Post-Event Follow-up That Drives Hires (and Renewals)

Post-Event Follow-up That Drives Hires (and Renewals)

What to do in the 48 hours and 30 days after the fair ends, for organizers and exhibitors alike.

First 24 hours: thank-you and recordings

A simple email with 'thank you, here are the recordings' goes out within 24 hours. Engagement on this email is the canary for whether your audience will come back next time.

48 hours: candidate survey

A 3-question survey (NPS, what worked, what missed) maximizes response rate while still giving you actionable feedback. Skip 20-question monsters; nobody fills them.

48 hours: exhibitor lead handoff

Push exhibitor leads to their ATS or CSV download within 48 hours. The longer the gap, the colder the leads, the worse the conversion.

Week 2: anchor exhibitor debriefs

A 30-minute call with each anchor exhibitor. Show them their numbers, ask what is missing, and pre-sell next year. Most renewals are won here.

Week 4: candidate reactivation

An email to candidates who registered but did not attend, inviting them to watch recordings or visit the fair on demand. Recovers a meaningful share of the no-show segment.

Quarter end: trend reporting

Compare your event against the previous one and against the industry benchmark. The trend story is what unlocks budget for the next event.
